I have been a professional chemist for 40 years and suffer from a chronic back condition. When Canada legalized cannabis use I viewed this as another tool for pain management and got myself a cannabis physician. Day time and night time products were recommended and provided superior pain relief and quality sleep.
As a chemist I did my own research on the use of cannabinoids for medicinal effects. I read about the entourage effect where naturally occurring cannabinoids would enhance each other even though no one was really sure what the properties of the individual cannabinoids were. Here the experiment really started.
The problem? achieve a good level of pain relief without a significant THC buzz.

Although d8-THC binds to the same receptors as d9-THC its psychoactive effect are significantly less pronounced and different. There is some d9-THC that "comes along for the ride" but its effects are hardly noticeable.
I have included d8-THC in my CBD Oil formulation to obtain maximum relief while minimizing the intoxicating effects that d9-THC can present, even at therapeutic dosages.
To start: try 1/2 mL in the morning on the tongue. Hold for as long as possible but eventually you will swallow it. The cannabinoids are in MCT coconut oil.
The effects will be felt in approximately 1-hour and last for 8-hours+. You may feel the need to increase the dosage to about 1 mL twice a day (that is what I do).

Perhaps you or someone you know has had a disappointing experience with online edible purchases. Well, according to a study done by the New Brunswick Research and Productivity Council (RPC), edibles can vary in potency to less than one-quarter of the stated cannabinoid content. In addition, some of the products had twice the potency of others in the same package!
As a career analytical chemist I found the results of this RPC report appalling. Quality control is a necessity to give the consumer the effect that they expect, whether it be medicinal or recreational. Even before Prairie CBD existed, I was sourcing materials and producing CBD formulations for myself and friends. Even then I realized that quality control was essential to determine which ratio of ingredients would provide maximum relief while minimizing the intoxicating effects of the THC.
It was during this period that I discovered the revolutionary properties of delta 8-THC. Several years later, with the help of friends and colleagues, I have finally arrived at an optimum formulation that you see today.
Quality control is important and every batch of Prairie CBD is analyzed in-house as well as sent to an independent 3rd party lab for verification. The results for the last batch of Prairie CBD were:

I have added the values of delta 8 & delta 9-THC together as the exact ratio is proprietary. What is important is that the total THC’s must be kept below 11.5 mg per dose. You may also notice that the quantity of CBD at 50 mg/mL is higher than many of the products currently available.

I suffered a Grade 3 AC shoulder separation after a serious accident on my bicycle. The pain was so intense, my doctors prescribed the opiate Percocet. While this narcotic took away much of the pain, it also caused Bell’s Palsy and other deleterious side effects. For example, I couldn’t close my left eyelid and experienced numbness in my face. So I stopped using Percocet and started using Prairie CBD oil to help manage my pain without damaging side effects. This product works!

l suffered a horrible motorcycle accident, a result of which left me with a host of chronic injuries and pain. lt also left me too disabled to work, and about out of my mind! After trying everything else under the sun, l was lucky to try this CBD Oil.
l really could not stand the high THC content of today's hybrid weed products. l was looking for pain relief, short and simple. l don't need all that psychoactive stuff.
This CBD Oil gave me that, as a result l am not awakened from pain every time l move in my sleep, and l have actually achieved REM sleep again. lt also has made my life a whole lot more enjoyable, and (l am told) more enjoyable to be around, as l am not wracked by constant pain and nausea.

why stop there?
There is a great deal of information to suggest that CBD provides the same therapeutic benefits for canines as it does for humans.
The pure CBD isolate (no THC or other cannabinoids) is in an MCT oil carrier and is suitable for dogs. At the recommended dose prairie dog CBD oil does not pose any risk to your best friend.
